The location is right next to the beach, a short walk to other bars and shops. Right next door is a bus stop to get the Plana bus to Salou, Port Aventura etc. it’s a lot more quiet than your usual holiday hotel, which isn’t a bad thing. That being said we did visit mid October so I would imagine it to be busier during the summer. The food was excellent, loads of variety and also healthy and unhealthy options! It was a little bit of a stretch for a fussy eater in my group but that’s not the hotel’s fault. The room (twin) was huge, the shower and bath were great, the beds were super comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. All of the staff I spoke to were very nice and helpful. I’ve read the opposite on here before but I can’t see that being the case- perhaps some people are never happy?! Anyway, there was a lady in the restaurant (I think Monica) who was great, super happy and joking about with my son! The spa pool was really good to use when the outdoor pool was like an ice bath! We played padel on-site for a small deposit on the equipment. Great holiday, very nice staff, super clean hotel, nice food, good location.
The hotel is overall very nice and clean. The design is modern, although the sink and shower could have been cleaner, as there was some hair left behind. The indoor pools are large, heated, and pleasant, and the coffee is good, with various milk options available. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and tidy. However, the food was quite disappointing. There were few options, and the meat was usually cold, as it seemed to be prepared in advance and left out. The same applied to breakfast — the omelets were pre-made and not served fresh. It might be because it’s a quieter season, but still, the quality could be improved. Overall, I’m satisfied with the stay, but the restaurant definitely needs some improvements.
Thus is the best gotel I ever was in. If there would be possible i give 10 dtarts. Top quality food what made me want to skip my nap and go eat (and eat more than i should ahhahah🤣), super sweet perosnal, rooms like from american moovie, perfect cöeaning servis and equipment int he room. The beat spa ever with possibility to go multiple times per day with best best best pool area i'ce ever sden. We have had big dance event here and all of us were making ohotos and videos there and wjat is the best, the noise isolazion was just perfect. Thank you for treating us so well. I will be definitelly back at least 1x a year🫶
Wow where do I start one of the best hotels I’ve been too and also the service was impeccable. From the get go the detail of care and attention. Cant wait to stay here again! I forgot the staff member name who checked us in but I do recall she was from the UK she was amazing!!!
We stayed at the 5 Star Grand Palas Hotel, La Pineda, as it looked great in the photos and the advertising read well. We flew from Leeds Bradford airport on 25th September for 7 nights all inclusive. This hotel was very quiet, and quite different to what was advertised on Love Holiday. Good points: -We landed in Reus airport, only 15 minutes transfer time. -The hotel looks nice (but it’s not 5 star). -The room was a good size & clean. -All the staff were friendly. -Free WiFi -Free access to the Spa (not treatments though, they’re around £55 each) and indoor pools which were heated. Bad points: -Exceptionally quiet as we went at the end of the season (September/October) so most things were closed. It could’ve been advertised on their website as we didn’t realise. -There wasn’t much entertainment; 1x karaoke and 1x dance/show. Both less than 30 minutes and catered for the French tourists. -The hotel only seemed to cater for French tourists, we felt excluded as English tourists. -There isn’t such a thing as ‘all inclusive’ you only get certain drinks included till 11pm and it’s the cheap stuff! -There was only 1 restaurant open; the main restaurant, which serves the same basic food and drinks every day. -The al a carte restaurant was closed. We planned to book this for my birthday while we were there so, we were disappointed. -All the snack bars were closed. -No access to the beach from the hotel, there looks to be some sort of building works going on. -There wasn’t a mini bar in the room as advertised. -There wasn’t an ironing board & iron in the room as advertised. -There wasn’t a holiday representative there to guide us or inform us about the area and where to go etc. Overall, we were disappointed with the hotel and what it didn’t offer. There were no mention of the closures of most of the restaurants and bars etc, until we discovered this ourselves. We paid £2,200 for 2 adults; it certainly wasn’t worth that money. This was partly our fault as we should’ve researched the area a bit more carefully. We wouldn’t rush back to return to that hotel, and we’d probably avoid La Pineda as it quite out of the way with very little to do.
