Lovely hotel, but not a 5 star from my experience. The hotel is clean, spacious and relatively quiet as it seems to be mainly for older couples, hence the awful evening entertainment. We're in our mid fifties but both felt very young in comparison to the other guests. Breakfast is very good and plentiful with loads of choice. We ate out every night and found our own entertainment as 4 guys singing along to a Bees Gees backing track (just one example) doesn't cut it. Great pool, easy to get a sunbed. The kiddies pool is deserted so we messed about on the slides in there. The reasons its not a 5 star (1) we spent 5 days without shower gel as it ran out and didn't get replaced (2) no bottled water in the fridge which should be topped up daily from my experience of other hotels (3) maintenance. Some lifts not working, communal toilets, taps not working, hand dryers not working, handles loose on cubicles. Just little things that need attention to make this 5 star. Other than that, its lovely. Just a point (not a criticism), obviously this is a hotel so you expect bar prices to be high but a pint of local beer is 1/3 of the price in the town

We paid for all inclusive and didn't get free drinks throughout the stay. Only breakfast and champagne at dinner which we dont drink that. Having to pay for your own drinks to then pay your tab at the end of the holiday was absolutely gutting. The hotel is Really nice, roof terrace amazing but then its closed at like 6pm so we couldn't watch the sunset up there. So quite disappointing really. We went to a 4 star hotel this year instead in tenerife which was incredible. Every drink is available, can even have a bottle of wine if you like. And have cocktails, branded spirits throughout the morning till the night all free... which is what you expect when you pay all inclusive. So I feel like I didnt need to pay all that extra money and got ripped off

Absolutely shocking service from the so called night manager! JUAN CARLOS! I Went out for food at 7.30pm and came back to the room at 9.20pm. Realising that someone had been in my room a moved my pillows, bearing in mind the cleaners had already serviced my room this morning. After calling down to reception to ask if someone could come up to my room and look as my back door also doesn’t lock, i was told that the cleaners had been, please see photos attached, for what reason the cleaners had been in my room at 7.30pm at night is beyond me. The bed was not made! I always make the bed myself and this was exactly how I left it but the pillows were on the bed too! I was informed by the night manager he would not come up even tho I had told him I have valuables in my safe and didn’t feel safe here. I went down to speak to juan and was so shocked by his attitude towards the situation, I asked for his name and he threw a pen and paper on the side and pointed to his name badge, very smug unhelpful and should not be in charge of a 5* establishment! The hotel is lovely and all the staff work hard and are polite but this has really put me off staying here, I had extended my stay earlier on today and when I asked to cancel it I was told yet again there is nothing he can do! I am now going to have to carry my valuables with me for the duration of my stay which is not the service you expect from a 5* hotel! First and last time I stay at the gf gran!

Amazing stay at GF Gran Costa Adeje. Location and staff were superb. Our 3 year old daughter was treated like a VIP and staff are very highly trained. Just we could not fault a single thing. We can’t wait to return. This will be our fourth time in as many years. I want to thank personally Diana , Lara and Bruno in the kids club for treating our little girl to an unforgettable holiday! My favourite thing to when I had an hour to myself was to go down to smoking terrace behind the bar and light up a Cuban cigar while listening to water feature. Thanks so much ! Patrick , Ruth and Siún Hughes.

Just returned from a 5 night stay. We absolutely loved this hotel and will return. Its so so clean, house keeping are fantastic. It was Jan so pools not really warm but we didn't expect them to be hot, the one with the bridge is heated as you compare it to the other pool and it's warmer, the splash play and slide areas are also heated-my children played in there all day and didn't complain, admittedly it was a bit nippy for me but we had some windy weather and I'm not that brave! The slides are fab and always life guarded so felt very safe. Breakfast is great, no ques and nice selection. Evening meal was bit hit and miss for us but we arnt huge fans of buffet style all you can eat, the kids wanted to give it a try and they really enjoyed it, nice for kids to try different things, some reviews said no kids selection-id disagree, lots of pizza and a fresh pasta station which was really good. Staff were all really friendly, at check in we were offered inter connecting rooms as there are 5 of us which was a huge bonus as jet 2 didn't give this option on booking. It's being refurbed but we didn't see any signs of work going on. It was very quiet there as not at full capacity but this was a bonus for us! We would 100% return but probably just do b&b next time as so many places in walking distance to explore. We got the bus to cala caletta which has some lovely sea front restaurants.
