Stayed at Ona Aucanada for a week's cycling trip mid Jan 2026. The reception staff were very welcoming and the apartment was clean and perfectly comfortable for the week. Obviously with it being out of season the hotel complex was very quiet which was ideal. Alcanada is a beautiful suburb just outside of Port d'Alcudia where the hotel is located. Which has lots of stunning villas! There is a nice beach path not far from the hotel and to walk down to the Port is only about a 10 min walk. With access then to restaurants, coffee shops etc. We had a rental car and it was easy to find a space outside the hotel complex, it also allowed us easy access to supermarkets for supplies. From a cycling point of view, it was a excellent base, with access to amazing cycling routes. Highly recommend this hotel from that point of view. The complex is a bit older, but the shower was excellent, kitchen was equipped to cook meals, the size of the apartments was perfect for a couple (2 bed apartment). Plus the stray cats that live in the neighbourhood were lovely, could have taken them all home! lol
We stayed there for almost a week as a group of 6 and had the best time! The villa was well equipped and clean, the location is great, no problem with finding a parking spot outside. The staff was lovely. Definitely will be coming back!
Extremely dirty. The plug sockets in the bathroom had green mold growing. The kitchen was pitiful and the faucet was so calcified that when you turned it on there was a small shower in the kitchen. The sofa was stained and disgusting. The pillows were extremely thin. The bathroom latch had obviously been broken and fixed a few times, in the end they used and eye hook meaning the door didn't shut properly. We didn't use the heating because the AC units also had moldy growing out of them. The on-site restaurant was closed and there was a colony of feral cats roaming around that the residents were feeding.
A functional place to stay and perhaps have breakfast, although it's not the most luxurious buffet. It suffices, nothing more.. Don't go for the evening buffet! Although it's honest food it's nothing special and far from a hotel experience. Kids will not like it. The open kitchen in the appartment gives you the opportunity to cook a simple meal, and the laundry machine does it's work. Upon arrival you are provided with some detergent and soap to get you started. The supermarket Mercadona in Alcudia is closeby and has anything you need, with a spacious underground parking lot. it's your best option for groceries besides the Sunday morning market in the old town. Towels are present but are not the softest or largest, so bring your own, certainly if you go to the beach. Please be aware that the appartments are only cleaned once a week, and so consequently your towels are also being replaced ONCE a week. Pool towels can be rented for an extra. These are appartments to stay with kids or a group of friends, and having a rental car is highly recommended, although on-site parking costs extra. The hotel pool isn't big or exiting and isn't heated. The TV is an old device, not a smart screen, so no apps, just old cable TV, not worth much. Wifi is free. The immediate surroundings are not particularly nice, as there is an old Repsol gas and oil plant just behind the corner, and the nearby restaurant gets crowded quickly. Nearby beaches are rocks, at least go to Port d'alcudia or the beaches at Formentor. The buildings are getting a bit older and it starts to show, but everything is in an acceptable state, just don't expect the Hilton. Staff is VERY friendly and this helps a lot...I hope management catches this and starts investing again, because this place could be much better given enough budget. A more modern approach to the buffet, a heated pool, a modern TV in the rooms, some new matresses and furniture and a handy man dealing with broken tiles left and right would go a very long way.
We stayed for 9 days over the Christmas and everything was perfect 👌 friendly and helpful staff, the apartment was spotless on our arrival plus it has everything to make you feel like home 😀
