We stayed at the hotel for 9 days. At first, it looks very nice and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, Wi-Fi was stable, and we loved the tropical greenery around the hotel. We booked a Club Alexandre room and were happy with the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean (although the balcony walls are quite high, so you need to stand to fully enjoy the view). The birthday surprise with a card and champagne was a very thoughtful touch. However, there were some disappointing aspects. The food was very repetitive — breakfast was identical every morning, and dinner quality and presentation were inconsistent. Some fruit did not seem fresh, and juices tasted diluted. The dining area is not air conditioned, and the temperature inside was around 28°C in the evenings, which made it uncomfortable. The buffet area was sometimes messy and food refills were slow. Some staff members appeared disengaged. Another issue was sunbed reservations by the pool. Although it is not allowed, many guests reserve them very early in the morning, and the hotel does not seem to enforce the rule. It was difficult to find available loungers unless arriving very early. Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its location and greenery, but improvements in food quality, dining comfort, and pool management would greatly enhance the experience.

very disappointing. a most expensive winter holiday as we upgraded the room. The laminate floor was a disgrace, the metal frame bed was creaky. the noise every night from local nearby bars was horrendous. Almost no sea view. Food only moderate . Evening entertainment was fantastic. cleaning was very good. The main reason for booking was to use the spa which sadly was shut for a week without notice and though they offered to use another hotel it meant getting dressed and a walk carrying towels etc. was not worth upgrading as no benefit and poor value

I am there now and to be honest cannot understand the negative reviews. Some people must have serious issues with their expectation levels. So to put things straight I can honestly say that: 1. Reception staff were great, booking in was fast, pleasant and efficient. 2. Room is spotless and facilitues excellent. 3.The food is plentiful, varied and prepared well. 4. Loads of sunbeds, rest areas etc etc 5. Pools look great. 6. The hotel is seconds from Linekers (which is opposite the main entrance) and also Veronica strip and minutes from the sea which can be seen yards aesy from the hotel but a minute ir two by footpaths from the entrance. 7. My room is on the main road with my balcony at road level yards from busy pubs and clubs but I slept like a log last night, the double glazing keeps the noise out. Hope this helps.

We are just coming to the end of a 5 night stay at the Alexandre Gala. The hotel is okay. The rooms are good and comfortable with a fridge and a safe included in our stay. The rooms were clean and when prepared done to a good standard. We had a slight gap between the shower screen and the rest of the enclosure which meant when showering we would soak the bathroom floor. The pool areas were fantastic, one heated pool and a deeper none heated, sometimes a struggle to get a sun lounger due to some holidaymakers reserving a sun lounger just in case they would like one this isn’t really policed by the hotel. We were here while there were a few children around, you would expect a lifeguard to be vigilant and well positioned to keep an eye on the whole pool area this isn’t the case, you found the lifeguard sitting in a room on the far side with an obstructed view and little awareness of what was going on. The pool bar and snack bar were good and the drinks were a good quality. The restaurant unfortunately lets the hotel down the food is okay, at breakfast the bacon was very greasy and not very edible and the juices were very watered down making them undrinkable and the coffee from the machine was disgusting. At a dinner time you sit at a table and wait for a red shirted waiter to come and take your drinks order it sometimes took a while for them to come so I would recommend getting them from the lounge bar and bring them in yourself to save a wait. The rest of the waiters were actually quite miserable not keen to assist if you haven’t been seen to by a red shirted waiter. They have several cleaning stations across the restaurant to clear uneaten food etc this can make the dining room very noisy you would expect in a 4 star hotel this to be done in a partitioned area away from the view of diners. The location of the hotel is fantastic we enjoy a walk into Los Christianos and down to Puerto Colon and we were bang in the middle. You are close to the Veronica’s strip and we had a room on that side of the hotel it was no issue and you forgot it was even there some nights. We did unfortunately get stuck in a lift one night coming back. Luckily we were still on a floor and managed to wedge the lift door open to get out. We pressed the emergency bell numerous times and when we went to the reception to tell them we were told an apology and the receptionist didn’t hear the emergency due to the volume of the entertainment but when we were there the entertainment had finished In my opinion it’s not really good enough that you can’t hear an emergency button in an emergency so the hotel needs to look at that. The receptionist took our room number down but nothing resulted of this. We have had a lovely holiday and we would only come back to stay here as room only the resort has plenty good quality restaurants and bars to experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself is excellent in terms of its general concept and location, my experience was deeply disappointing due to the service and room quality. The Rooms I stayed in a "Standard" room, which unfortunately does not meet 4-star standards. The interior felt very dated; everything was worn out, scruffy, and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, the cleanliness was not up to par, with visible dirt and a general sense of neglect. Noise and Location My room was located on the same floor where events are held. The noise was relentless until midnight. Even after the party ended, the loud crashing and banging continued as the staff began cleaning and resetting the hall. This made it impossible to rest. Service and Reception The most frustrating part was the reception service. I was traveling with a child and specifically asked to be moved to a quieter room so we could sleep. The staff flatly refused to help or find a solution. For a hotel at this price point, the lack of empathy and professional service is unacceptable. Final Thoughts It is a shame because the hotel has such great potential, but based on this experience, I wouldn't return. I truly hope management takes serious steps to renovate the standard rooms and retrain the front desk staff. At these rates, guests expect a true 4-star experience, not a noisy room and "terrible" service.
