We stayed in apartment 416 which is hosted by the helpful Eugen. This apartment has been newly refurbished and decorated and is perfect for a family. It is a one bedroom apartment and the sofa bed in the lounge is a really good quality, comfortable one Castle Harbour overall seems well maintained, and the staff are friendly from reception to the pool/snack bar. A 15-20 minutes walk will see you at the seafront with an uphill walk back, but if you're fit, this is no problem. Hire a car from the airport though as there is plenty of parking in the road.

We were VERY disappointed in so many ways with this accommodation and cannot believe it has so many great reviews. Either the people that wrote them have very low expectations OR they are friends of the property owner, because they mention none of the numerous negative aspects of this accommodation, which we find very suspicious. The positives. 1. Yes, the accommodation is well equipped, apart from blunt knives. 2. The beds are very comfortable. 3. The complex is very nice and the bar/restaurant staff are brilliant. The negatives. 1. The sofa is the most uncomfortable sofa we have ever sat on. It may as well be made of concrete. Yet those who gave a score of 10 do not mention it?????? 2. The lack of instructions on how to use the TV, cooker, washing machine etc – made things difficult. 3. DISGUSTING. We were informed ONLY on arrival that used toilet paper could not be flushed away but had to be put in to a bin by the toilet. Had we known about this BEFORE booking the accommodation, we would not have booked it! We found this process very UNPLEASANT and extremely UNHYGENIC. NOTE. We spoke to reception and other people staying in the complex and none of them had to go through this disgusting process. All other apartments are on the same pipe network so why this particular apartment was so different didn’t make sense! Yet those who gave a score of 10 do not mention it?????? 4. The balcony faced North overlooking a busy main road and never got any sun on it. However, it was nice and spacious and we thought we would get some nice relaxing time reading a book etc. This was not possible as there was building work across the road directly in front of the accommodation and the constant noise from a mechanical jack hammer breaking up rock was horrendous. This noise started at 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday and was a terrible. 5. The smell of the drains in the ensuite bathroom was awful and carried throughout the rest of the accommodation. We were booked to stay for 4 weeks, but with the stinking drains in the bathroom, the lack of cleaning or refreshing of bed linen and the constant noise, we left after 3 weeks. We informed the owner who was completely disinterested. We would definitely recommend that people DO NOT USE THIS ACCOMODATION.

Most/All apartments seem to be privately owned and rented out independently from the complex. we booked our apartment through airbnb and our particular apartment was amazing. We didn’t want or need for anything all week. only downside was the noise in the hallways. They signpost a “silence hours” in the halls but of course not everyone obeys this and the windows looking into the hallway are very thin so you can hear everything. Pool area was a nice little suntrap and pool was a good temp. Drinks at the pool bar really good and fairly priced. There’s a 24 hour shop a 1 minute walk down the road which we visited everyday and has everything you’d need. Only downside to this place is paying €2 per sunbed everyday and there’s a charge on the wifi if your room dosnt supply it. Again this is no fault of the apartment owners, I understand the complex need to earn their cut also so it’s just something to be aware of. A facelift in the main reception areas would take this place up a notch without a doubt. A lot of reviews complain about location but I think it’s perfect, beachfront is only a 15 minute walk down the hill and there’s loads of resteraunts, bars, supermarkets and cafes along the way. We often walked to and from las americas which is about a

We have stayed multiple times with Margarita. Her rooms are clean, fresh, and beautiful. She has an exceptional rating for a reason! There are so many nice hospitable touches, like leaving you water, crisps, fruit, tea, biscuits, shampoo, shower gel, handwash, dish liquid, laundry tabs, etc. I LOVE staying at Castle Margherita's Apartments because I know I am well looked after with shops, restaurants, a pool, 24-hour concierge, and a wonderful room in the complex, with the most amazing hosts!
