Pros: • We arrived late at night, and reception checked us in quickly, which was great. • Online check-in is very convenient. • The apartment offers very good value for money if you don’t want to spend a fortune staying in Los Cristianos. • Unlike many three-star hotels in the area with outdated 1980s-style interiors, the property appears to have been remodeled and looks quite modern. • The large pool is heated, which is a big plus if you have a small child. • Pool towels can be borrowed for free. • The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. • There is a washing machine in the apartment, which is very helpful if you want to pack light and avoid paying for expensive airline luggage. Cons: • The entrance to our villa faced the pool and required climbing many stairs. There is an elevator, but it was farther away, so we chose to use the stairs next to our room. • The bedroom is located on the ground floor upon entering the villa, which feels impractical. After coming back from the beach, you need to go upstairs to the first floor (where the terrace and washing machine are) to clean up, which makes the layout inconvenient. The parking area is two levels above, so you have to go down two levels to reach the villa entrance and then go up one level again to reach the living room and terrace. • I almost got electrocuted by a broken iron in the room, which was very dangerous, especially since we have a small child (Room 24). • The daytime reception staff could be friendlier when asked for information. • The bed is a standard double bed with a thinner mattress, which I found uncomfortable and small with a height of 170-180cm couple (we are rather medium size than big) • The living room layout is not very practical. There are unnecessary pieces of furniture taking up space, such as a small coffee table in the corner of the dining table that is difficult to access, making the dining chairs hard to use. There is also a large armchair directly in front of the TV, which blocks the view significantly. Overall: • Overall, we are satisfied with the price-to-performance ratio. Prices in Tenerife are extremely high during the Christmas season, and Los Claveles offered a reasonable rate. • We already had positive experiences with the Ona hotel chain in mainland Spain, so we trusted our choice and were pleasantly surprised. • There are some areas that could be improved, but we would still recommend this property.

A great place. It is situated at the back of los cristinos - put its only €5 from outside the comodoro apps- just factor that it into the costs you are getting a lot better accomodation for less cost overall. The snack bar is amazing too.

little bit out of town.. about 10 ish minutes to the boardwalk. ( downhill) the resort itself is clean , nice swimming pool if that's your thing and it looked like plenty of sun loungers. our studio appt was well equipped with everything you would need for a short stay. There are a fair few steps if you're not great on your feet but there are ramps it seems in most places. the reception closes at 9 pm. we didn't eat here so can't comment on the food or bar, just prefer to get up and out in the morning. the walk to los americas is pleasant enough but to be honest i don't think if you're looking for shopping you'll find much difference between the two places.. promenade has some lovely restaurants and many bars in all a decent enough place to stay cheap n cheerful but don't expect the ritz :).

The rooms are lovely and clean, and while they were only cleaned on the day we arrived, we’ve managed well during our week here but would have appreciated more cleans. Some rooms that are suppose to be the same have slightly different features, for example, our parents’ room had two fridges and more plug sockets by the bed, whereas ours had one of each, but everything we needed was provided. Breakfast time can get a bit busy in the mornings, so sometimes there’s a long wait to be served and then given your food but the food is cooked fresh. The location is excellent, away from noisy areas, though the cleaners can be up early and chat outside. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with friendly staff, and we’ve really enjoyed our stay.

We booked here using our cession week swap option with club La Costa. We arrived early so sat at the pool bar until we could get our room. Staff were very friendly but the spirits are not the real stuff, which was disappointing (we didn’t drink there again). The beer was good and not too expensive. Cocktails were very nice. We only used the pool on the first day - it’s very nice. Lifeguard on duty. You get pool towels if you want them (for free). You do have to leave a deposit for the safe key - which you don’t get back (which means it’s not a deposit). The room we had was very nice (77). Situated away from the pool area so quiet although we got neighbours near the end of our stay and we could hear a lot of noise from either side. They are duplex apartments and we had an entrance on both levels, but opted to use the main one on the top level. Very secure and options to leave doors open for a breeze. Air con was available but we didn’t use it. Modern furnishings and very clean. Kitchen had everything including a washing machine. Two toilets which is a bonus - nice bathrooms and comfy bed (standard double). There was everything needed for a comfortable stay really. The balcony was a nice sun trap in the late morning/early afternoon. Location wise - a bit of a walk to main beaches but we’re in our 60s and we did it every day - in fact we walked over 50 miles in a week! It’s only about 15 mins walk to the nearest beach. So it’s doable if you have the stamina. €10 taxi from Porto Colon / Costa Adeje side to get back. We didn’t have children with us so can’t comment on those type of facilities. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was nice enough - reasonably priced. Don’t have the breakfast though. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I really liked the layout of the apartment, the fact that it was clean and reasonably quiet. As we were on a timeshare swap, we had to pay for our electric - which came to €5.82 for the week - can’t complain about that! The only real complaint I would make is that the wifi was rubbish. In this day and age I’m not sure why resorts don’t invest more in their connectivity. Would recommend.
