The location of the complex is unbelievable..right on the main strip and it’s right on the beach. The 1 bedroom apartment we had was spacious with two balconies, and extremely comfortable. It was immaculate and cleaned every day. It was one of the newly renovated apartments. The bedroom, although not closed off with a door, was closed off enough that our 4 year old could sleep while we stayed downstairs, although i believe some of the one bed apartments are laid out differently. Every staff member we met was warm and friendly and helpful. Couldn’t be better really. They are exceptionally responsive and available to sort any issues right away, not that we had any issues to sort. The pools and waterpark are amazing - not too busy this time of year (Feb) and the pool staff were lovely. We didn’t use the restaurants - we did have lunch at the pool bar once and the food was not great, but the drinks and snacks were perfect. There was some construction while we were there (we knew this before we booked), but it didn’t disturb us at all. For the price we paid, I think it was outstanding. Overall, we loved staying here and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Had a great stay, great value for money & great location. The room we had was dated decor wise & there was a lack of plug sockets but it had everything we needed & was good size for a family of 5 (1 being a baby). There was work being done to upgrade some rooms in our block but there was no disruption to us & the tradesmen were clean & tidy. There’s no entertainment which meant we were out most nights but there’s plenty of places near by. Waterpark for the kids is great to keep them entertained throughout the day along with the play park. Our housekeeper/maid was a lovely lady named Agnieszka and she went above & beyond to ensure we had a great holiday. Room cleaned everyday, toilet roll stocked up & fresh dish towel. We forgot our baby’s toys to keep her distracted & Agnieszka brought us a brand new baby spinner toy, it was a lovely touch and our kids were always pleased to see her friendly face.

Nice surroundings. Complex is very big and although only about 3 floors high it’s built on a lot of different levels so there are a lot of stairs. Bar and restaurant nice with good food which also joins the shopping precinct under the hotel. Great location for the beachfront and nice beach bar. Pools are massive so plenty of room and never had an issue with sunbeds. Good area for kids with small to medium size slides.

What can I say about Parque Santiago? It's such a mixed bag. On the one hand, easily one for the best pools on the island if not the actual best pool. It's absolutely breathtaking. It's a joy to swim in for lengths and lengths uninterrupted. To meander under bridges and around palm trees. The staff are always keeping it sparkling and clear all around the pool. There's plenty of beds. Plenty of rooms. And the location? Second to none. But then there's the significant drawbacks. I would say if you have a family member with any learning need or condition, disability or allergy, to think carefully before booking this place because I've felt vulnerable here. They also don't ever confirm your room in advance so if specifics are important to you and your family, forget it. The staff and rooms in my opinion need a lot of work. I have a disabled husband (epilepsy at night) and as such he needs a ground floor bed or he can jump out of bed unaware and fall from heights or even jump off balconies. It's niche, so we have to be really clear about this so we always have a ground floor room and ideally without a balcony. But then because of that we like access to a garden so we're not cooped up. Luckily SP has loads of these. One member of staff on reception Amber was lovely and was trying to book us in for a week at short notice (not our usual situation due to a last minute move but SP have a lot of rooms so I was hopeful). However the other member of staff Ashley was almost laughing at our situation that we hadn't got a safe room sorted, and cutting off the other lady Amber as she was trying to help find a suitable room. She was saying "there'll be nothing, there's no point looking. We won't find anything, you may as well stop and just call us first thing and talk to bookings instead to see what they can do for you and your situation" even though there was a couple of suitable rooms. I felt really unsupported, vulnerable and humiliated too. We left and started to scroll through some other hotels and then realised online they were showing at SP, and so went back inside after about twenty minutes, and the other girl Amber was happy for us - she identified the best one for us and why, but then to our complete frustration, whilst booking it, unfortunately because of all this fobbing off earlier by Ashley, it was booked online by someone on the website as we were booking it. The reception staff at SP have often been what appeared to be not very warm or helpful over the years IMO- as if they genuinely just want to get through the shift without whatever stress you're bringing them and clock off, there's not any sort of warmth or genuine care for you whilst you're staying with them. In the room as well the beds also are singles just pushed up towards each other so prepare for the freaky springs and the crack that you fall through if you like to sleep with your partner. They put a sheet over the top which for my body does nothing but splat me onto the icy tiles at 1am. No air con too, it gets significantly uncomfortable and it feels a bit like camping level of comfort in the rooms. Not romantic at all. The cafe staff left us waiting to order food for 20 minutes - any time we went into the restaurant area near the bar they told us to sit down and they'd be right over. After 25 minutes we were getting stressed out and really hungry and fed up so left and ate across the street. I think basically a lot of the staff are not happy here. I reckon they're paid minimum wage and are unhappy and you end up feeling it. It feels like a good price coming here but I've learnt the value is not good. I go elsewhere now and don't think I'll be back. It's a shame, as I've come here on and off over the last 15 years but I've found somewhere locally so much better now on every level where you just get a feeling of happiness and care from staff on top of nice pools and food and air con and double beds. I hope this helps some people. And thanks to Amber on reception who was a genuinely lovely kind girl - don't let the others change you!

We had a studio apartment with a pool view. It was excellent. Our only disappointment was that the pool was freezing, but it was January. There’s a funny room numbering system so listen really carefully when you are being given directions to your room. We weren’t the only guests who struggled to find our room.
