This was a return visit for us to this beautiful hotel. The whole hotel and grounds are immaculately kept. We stayed in a standard room (all inclusive) which was spacious, modern and well equiped. Our room faced the Beunavista hotel and did have a partial sea view. However if you want sun in your balcony, I suggest you upgrade. I did note that the wifi has been improved and there are more English speaking tv channels since our last visit. The mini bar is restocked every day, so we always had plenty of bottled water. Overall the staff are very friendly and attentive. The staff at the pool side buffet and the Coloquio piano bar were particularly good. We did have several small service issues but I am pleased to say I received a very positive and professional response from management. The food in my opinion is of a high standard and well presented. The Verona, Italian restaurant was excellent with terrific service. Overall we had a very pleasant, restful stay at the Roca and I am sure we will return.

I have been visiting The Rocca Navaria for many years probably 8 plus visits and it has always been my go-to destination for a relaxing, quiet, and romantic holiday. The rooms, food, and staff have consistently been excellent, creating a truly five-star experience. Unfortunately, in recent years the hotel has shifted its focus toward families. While I appreciate that this may suit some guests, it has noticeably changed the atmosphere. The evening dining experience, once refined and tranquil, now feels more like a busy fast-food restaurant than a luxury hotel. Although there are designated areas for families, these are not well enforced, which diminishes the experience for couples and guests seeking peace and elegance. The Rocca Navaria still has many strengths—its staff remain attentive, and the setting is beautiful—but I hope management will reconsider how to balance family-friendly services with the needs of long-standing guests who value the hotel’s original charm and get back to been a 5 star experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, mainly thanks to its cleanliness and overall tidy atmosphere. The rooms and common areas were exceptionally well-maintained, which made our visit very comfortable. The food was another highlight, perfectly suitable for both vegans and vegetarians, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. While the reception staff were professional, they weren’t particularly friendly and did not give us a warm welcome. Fortunately, this was more than made up for by Luis, who helped carry our luggage to the room. He welcomed us warmly, was extremely kind, and carried himself with great professionalism. We felt genuinely cared for thanks to him. During dinner we were very well looked after by Davide and Ana Maria, who seemed to be a server with very much experience. Their service was attentive and friendly. We also received a warm welcome from Yamei, whose kindness added to the positive dining experience. The housekeeping team was also wonderful, attentive, friendly, and consistently ensuring our room stayed spotless. The only real disappointment was the Spa and reception, where the service felt noticeably less attentive and did not match the standards of the rest of the hotel. Because of this, we decided to cancel the massage treatments we had planned. Overall, despite a few drawbacks, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the cleanliness, the excellent dining options, and the exceptional staff members who truly made a difference.

Lovely hotel, very kind service. We were very pleased with the vegan options in the all inclusive. Also seems very accessible. The room is spacious, clean, the gym is enough to get a good workout. Its has many options also for families.

We’ve just returned from a one-week stay at the Roca Nivaria Gran Hotel in Playa Paraíso, Tenerife, visiting during October half term with our son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. 📍 Location Playa Paraíso is a quieter resort on the south-west coast, and the hotel sits right on the shoreline with excellent sea views. There’s a small strip of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby, plus a larger shopping centre about a 15-minute walk away. It’s easy to get around using taxis or the local bus service, and the transfer from Tenerife South Airport took around 30 minutes. 🏨 The Hotel This is a large but very well-run five-star hotel. The style is classic rather than modern, but everything felt clean, spacious, and professionally managed throughout our stay. Despite being busy, it never felt overcrowded. 🛏️ Rooms We stayed in a Superior Double Room with Sea View, which was noticeably larger than most hotel rooms. Storage was excellent, the room was bright and comfortable, and the balcony was huge with lovely sunset views. Facilities included air conditioning, minibar (topped up daily on all-inclusive), coffee machine, kettle, safe, USB sockets, and a large walk-in shower. Our family’s room was even bigger, split across two spaces, which worked very well with children. 🍽️ Food & Drink The main restaurant was a real highlight. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and good variety across the week. Even as a group of six, we always found seating easily, and outdoor dining was available at every meal. There are also two à la carte restaurants (Italian and Spanish), plus a pool bar serving relaxed lunch options like pizza and burgers. 🍹 Bars & Evening Atmosphere There are several bars around the hotel, including a relaxed Lobby Bar and a Piano Bar that worked well for evening drinks and entertainment. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, which really stood out. 🏊 Pools & Family Facilities There’s a great mix of pools, including a heated salt-water main pool, a quieter lower pool, and the RoniAventura area with slides and water features. This worked brilliantly for families, and our grandchildren made full use of it. There’s also direct access to a small volcanic beach, ideal for a quick swim or a change from the pool. 🎾 Other Facilities Free gym, tennis courts (with rackets provided), spa treatments, kids’ clubs, late check-out shower facilities, on-site shops, and underground parking. The hotel app is also useful for activities and schedules. ⚠️ Things to note The all-inclusive package ends at midday on departure day, which felt a little early with a later pick-up. Evening entertainment varied in quality, though this wasn’t a deal-breaker. ✅ Overall A very solid five-star hotel. The stand-outs for us were the room sizes, food quality, cleanliness, and how well organised everything felt. It suits families particularly well but would also work for couples wanting a quieter base. Even during half term, it never felt too busy. 🔍 Want more detail?
