The apartment itself was nice – spacious, clean, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen. The terrace had a nice view of the ocean and the airport. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to several issues. Frequent power cuts and mornings with no running water. When reported, the staff was uninterested and unhelpful. The hotel is located in a very windy area (golf course microclimate). Even when it was calm in nearby towns, we experienced gusts up to 45 km/h. Because of the constant wind, it was impossible to enjoy the terrace, let alone the pool. Management refused to move us to another room or hotel, claiming "it's always windy here.". Other downsides include a €100 deposit (not mentioned beforehand), small paid parking lot (if it's full, you have to use another paid lot located much further away), cold swimming pools, and poor facilities for children (small playgrounds, concrete sports field). Additionally very poorly equipped gym. The SPA area is underwhelming – the steam room barely works and gym and spa requires a reservation, so you can't use it whenever you want. It’s a 30-minute walk to the ocean with a steep uphill climb on the way back. Also, expect significant noise from the nearby airport. Good rooms, but poor service and technical standards. I do not recommend this hotel and I will not be visiting again.

Recently stayed here with my partner and had a great few days. Great to relax and had everything we needed. Staff were helpful and friendly however some the communication could have been much better. Requested a late checkout on arrival and how it was handled wasn't very good. We only found by being woken up on checkout morning we could checkout late and were charged 20euros . Apart from that I couldn't fault the stay there the apartment was great nice and clean and if we needed anything staff were there to help.

This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately we will NOT be returning in the future. When we arrived we checked in, the parking costs around €8 a day which we did not know about prior to booking. However you need a car or taxi to reach the place so it is not fair that the parking costs when we are already paying lots for the stay. The apartment itself looked nice at first glance, lots of space , an extra bathroom and big bedroom and aircon/heating. However it was Dirty. We took our one year old son and when I started filling up the bath for Him I noticed there was still some leftover hairs and dirt from whoever previously stayed. The bath did not look like it had been cleaned at all and I had to re clean it myself. The kitchenware works fine however I thought there would be a washing machine in the apartment but there was not. Cleaners apparently only come every 3 days and as we only stayed 3 days we never saw one. We found a a very large cockroach in the room. My husband squashed it with a tissue fast before our son could step on it. We realised this must be an ongoing issue as we found an Open cockcroach spray under the kitchen sink. The place would have less cockroaches if it was cleaned more frequently and properly. The cafe restaurant had lovely staff and the food was nice. We did not use the pools during this occasion . Our son enjoyed the playground although there was some tape around some of the playground equipment ??? Surely this should be replaced or fixed if it is not safe to use rather than some flimsy tape on top it. The supermarket they have is extremely overpriced and the “fresh produce” is not very fresh. By that I mean I found an orange with Mould on it. Luckily there are more affordable supermarkets a drive away but no luck for those who do not drive. We usually love going to Tenerife and we enjoyed the short drive to different places including jungle park , the beach and harbour and it is only ten minutes away from the airport however the actual place let us down with the cleanliness, extremely overpriced supermarket in the hotel and the steps outside the apartment which is frustrating when you have a pram.

Pros - Our 2-bedroom villa was very spacious and comfortable for our family of four. It had a large patio and 2 eating areas to accommodate up to six people indoors and outdoors. - Very quiet area surrounded by golf course with view of Teide - Small but well-appointed kitchen - Extra linens and pillows provided for pull-out sofa even though we were only four people (unit comes with two bedrooms, one with 2 twins separated and one with 2 twins pushed together to make a king size bed) - Excellent cleaning staff came twice during our 1-week stay and did a thorough cleaning, leaving extra laundry pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels, clean towels etc. - Reception has a WhatsApp concierge service. You can text the front desk using WhatsApp to ask basic questions, such as if the tennis court is available etc. I found this very convenient rather than having to call or go to the front desk with these questions. I usually got a response within a minute or two with friendly and helpful suggestions and assistance - Patio has a place to hang clothes to dry in the sun and our kitchen had a washer, super helpful when packing light with kids - Patio also has two sun loungers in addition to the table and chairs, with covers available in an outdoor closet Cons - Although the resort has multiple lovely pools, only one quite small pool is heated. So over Christmas (and I assume the entire shoulder season) all guests were using just one small pool making it a bit crowded and cloudy looking some days. Also, although they say the pool closes at 5pm, the lifeguard started to shut it down and put the cover over the heated pool around 4:30/4:45, which was disappointing. - The jacuzzi spa must be reserved in advance. What’s odd is the time slots are 1.5hrs long and reserved exclusively for your unit, but even still, no children are allowed. I think the time slots should be shorter (ie 30 minutes to 1 hour) to accommodate more guests. And as they are a private booking, guests should be permitted to bring their children (and pay a deposit or sign a waiver if there’s a concern in that regard). It was always booked when we inquired so we didn’t use it. - The resort would benefit from more activities for families and kids as there isn’t much to do on site. It’s located in a somewhat remote area so a car is essential for day trips, activities and groceries (unless you enjoy taking very long walks or public transit). Would be great if they had some cards or board games even to rent/borrow. - The parking for resort guests is located off site down a hill about a five minute walk away. The parking on site appears to be mostly reserved for condo owners (ie not hotel guests). It was inconvenient to have to park down the hill and they didn’t inform us of the cost until the end (we assumed it was free as it’s not on site). We had friends visit us for dinner and we were told they had to park at the bottom of the hill closer to the town, about a 2.5km walk (30 mins) away. - The resort on arrival is an odd layout. The reception is tucked away at the side and hard to find. Most of the front of the resort is private businesses (hair salon, convenience store etc). It has a bit of a disjointed appearance and feel. - The patio area had a BBQ but it was locked and we were told we needed to pay a deposit to get a key. Not convenient and despite jumping through the hoop the BBQ was nothing special (charcoal) and had to be cleaned before use. - the resort’s on-site parking had the best sunset views of the entire resort. We literally stood in the parking lot one night to see the sunset. Would be nice if they had an area with benches etc to take advantage of the view. - close to airport is nice when arriving and departing but having planes fly above the resort all day every day could annoy some people (wasn’t a big deal for us personally though, didnt really notice after the first day or two)

We stayed at number 23 " Casa Palmera" We loved it. It looked stunning in the photo's and it lived up to our expectations. This villa sleeps 8 people comfortably and is well equipped. It has 4 bedrooms each with a tv, 2 of the rooms are ensuite and there is another large shower room and toilet. The villa is bright and airy. Both of the ensuite rooms have large atriums which allows light into the villa during the day. A curtain can be drawn at night to prevent the sunlight awakening you in the morning. The large patio has beautiful views across the golf course and ocean. This villa provides excellent value for money. The Royal Tenerife is quiet and relaxing. It has a small supermarket a pool bar and The Med restaurant both of which serve good food. There is a large pool area with plenty of sun loungers. I would highly recommend both the Casa palmera and The Royal Tenerife Country Club.
