The hotel, or at least our room, offers a truly wonderful ocean view. From the balcony, you can sit back and enjoy the dramatic roar of impressively large waves, which feels suitably cinematic. Despite what some booking websites suggest, the hotel is not quite beachfront: there’s a football pitch between the building and the ocean. That said, it doesn’t spoil the view in the slightest, and unless the pitch suddenly learns to block horizons, the scenery remains stunning. The staff throughout the hotel are exceptional, consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely warm, from reception to the restaurant and the cleaning team. The hotel is spotless, and both breakfast and dinner are delicious and well worth the price. The grill station, in particular, is a standout, largely thanks to the brilliant lady running it, who deserves a special mention. However, this is where the four-star claim starts to wobble a little. While the common areas and service feel polished, the rooms themselves are very basic and rather underwhelming. In our two-bed room there was a single plug socket (apparently encouraging digital detox), no fridge, no kettle, and not even complimentary water. Based on the room alone, I’m afraid this feels closer to a two-star experience than a four-star one.

Communal areas such as pool area and lobby are clean and look new but rooms are appalling. We stayed in room 312. On our second to last day the bathroom ceiling started leaking. Given the strong smell of urine I suspect it was the toilet from the room above. Yuck!! We informed reception immediately and they did absolutely nothing. We had to put towels on the floor and basically do without a bathroom for a day. Location is quite good with bars and restaurants only a 10 min walk away. Loro parque zoo is only a 20 minute walk in the other direction. The maids and staff working in the restaurant are fantastic and do a great job but the rooms are so dated, the floors so scratched, and the furniture so chipped and old that it never felt truly clean. There are no extra facilities at the hotel aside from a pool and bar. "Entertainment " is provided on a night which is usually some singer with a casio keyboard. Food in the restaurant is good and fresh but can be a little samey. If you only eat "english" food on holiday then you may struggle a little but I enjoyed it all.

We stayed for a few days in Tenerife and chose this 4-star hotel as our base, expecting the standard typically associated with Meliá Hotels International. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to those expectations. The rooms felt quite outdated, and some elements shown in the booking photos were missing. The bathroom was also old, and we were given a room facing the outside with a football pitch directly in front. One issue was that the bathroom window couldn’t be properly closed, so the outside weather affected the temperature inside. Breakfast was decent, but some items, like the croissants, didn’t seem fresh. It would also help if all food were clearly labeled so guests know exactly what they’re eating. Overall, this hotel doesn’t feel like a true 4-star experience, more like a 2- to 3-star at best.

This 3-star hotel truly exceeds expectations and offers more than many 4-star properties. From the very beginning, everything was well organized and comfortable. The breakfasts and dinners were consistently delicious, with a good variety and great quality, and the Christmas festive dinner was especially memorable — beautifully prepared, warm, and full of holiday atmosphere. What really makes this place special is the staff. Every single person we met was kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming — from the housekeeping team and reception to the bar staff and chefs. You could really feel the care and attention in every detail. The location is very convenient and made it easy to enjoy the area. We spent 7 wonderful days here without a single complaint and felt completely relaxed throughout our stay. A place we would happily return to and confidently recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is quite old and could be a bit cleaner, but overall it was fine. Prices are reasonable. The breakfast offers a huge variety — you can find almost everything you want to eat, although the food quality could be better.
