  We had to pay a £200 deposit when arriving at the hotel and were told that it would be transferred back to us around a week after checkout. However, it has been a month since my holiday and I still haven’t received my deposit. Over the month I have called and emailed the hotel many times but have had no response. Very disappointing seeing as my family and I enjoyed our stay asides from this.

  They deserve a full 1-star review because I have never seen a hotel with such a lack of service it’s incredible. Multiple things doesn’t work in a NEWLY renovated room including the bathroom door that couldn’t close, aircondition isn’t working properly, not all electrical sockets work and the room service is horrible because they either forget to prepare the bed or give us new towels. We complained to the staff and receptionists so much that they at last just ignored us and says that it works when it clearly doesn’t. Horrible service and do yourself a service to not ever rent a place here!

  We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at ROC Portonova. The location and views were simply breathtaking, and the pool area was absolutely gorgeous. Our two-bedroom suite felt truly five-star – spacious, stylish, and impeccably maintained. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our holiday. There were a few tiny ants on the terrace, but this is completely normal in warm climates and they don’t bite – it really wasn’t an issue for us. The only thing we wouldn’t recommend is the breakfast, which was average at best. Everything else, however, was fantastic, and we would happily stay here again.

  We checked in and the room we got was not anything like what was pictured on the description and when we went down and asked they said the newer rooms are an up charge. So that felt a little sneaky. Then the AC didn’t work the first night. A really nice repair man fixed it the next day. Then there weren’t any sheets for fold out bed. They are doing construction so the first morning we woke up to that. The location is great though - close to restaurants and shopping and the beach is beautiful. We never swam in the pool Because it closed too early.

  Lovely location and nice hotel although going through renovation, we were put in one of the old rooms which was fine but I was asked to pay a €200 deposit which we did as we had been up since 2am and were very tired, we were told this would be back in our bank account when we checked out, this was in June and we still haven't received it so be very careful what you pay for and who you pay. I spoke to other people who were staying in the renovated rooms and they didn't have to pay any deposit at all, it's a shame because im sure once all the renovations have been done it will be a lovely hotel in a great location, all food was served outside by the pool which was fine because we had good weather so not good if you have bad weather. So not happy I wasnt refunded, would be interesting if anyone else had the same thing done to them
