  The room was nice for a Hostal, beds not to bad, bathroom clean and free of mold, extra blankets in the closet. The towels were fresh (no mildew smell). Check-in with Martin was flawless, polite and spoke English without an attitude, explained everything very nicely and clearly, he set the stage for a positive experience. The morning lady doing coffee and breakfast not so good she is the the reason for only 3 stars. She could use some help with her customer skills from Martin. Location great for access to local things. 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. Walkable to downtown or a very short bus ride. Walkable to places for food and grocery store.

  The price-quality ratio was okay. There are two large shops and the beach nearby. The central part is a little further, approx. 45 minutes of walking. Google maps didn't guide us to the right place, actually you have to drive from the main road through a small street between the houses to get to the hotel. There is free parking in the hotel area, but it is not easy to get there with a big car. There was also free parking on the street. The room was normal, the only thing that bothered me was that a train was passing by the house and that sound was heard all over the room. Fortunately, there are no trains running all night.

  Basic shabby, noisy .The ,bedding was one sheet with a sleeping bag over my concern when was how often wasit washed? The room was tiny. The bathroom was microscopic but clean with clean towels. The woman who checked us in was welcoming When the heating went on the noise was like jumbo jet taking off in the room The r Ceiling had polystyrene tiles a big fire hazard thank goodness only one night stay but never again

  Love this hostel. Pet friendly also there are a lot of cats. Friendly great personal and rooms are good. We have stayed for one night but would love to stay even longer. Hostel is placed 5 min walk to the nice beach with promenade and bars. Also there are Mercadona shop in 2min from the hostel.

  El Callejón is a great little 2* hostel. It is perfectly situated on the Via Augusta, just off the A7 motorway. Dogs are welcome and are allowed to bring humans too, as long as they are well-behaved! Breakfast is basic. The rooms are spacious and clean.
