We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Best Semiramis and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The room view was simply amazing, we could see the ocean directly from our room. Falling asleep while hearing the sound of the waves was such a relaxing and beautiful experience. It made our stay extra special. The food was fantastic, with great variety and quality every day. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. A very special thank you to the lady who did our check-in (we are so sorry we didn’t learn her name). She was extremely kind, warm, and helpful, and she made us feel welcome from the very first moment. We stayed on the 9th floor, and our housekeeper was such a lovely lady. She always cleaned our room perfectly, greeted us with a smile, and kindly said hello every day. Small gestures like that really made a difference. The pool area is great ,one of the pools was heated, which we really enjoyed. It was not overly busy, so the atmosphere felt calm and fabulous. The location is excellent, the views are breathtaking, and the people make the hotel even more special. We will definitely come back in the future. Thank you for such a beautiful stay!

I stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days in February. Here is my experience: The Good👍🏼: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and willing to help anyway they can. It really makes a huge difference, so special thanks to the entire staff from the reception to the dining to the gentleman at the activities kiosk. The location is really good, alot of activities, restaurants, bars are in walking distance from the hotel. Only used a the car rental to go south and explore the entire island. The front desk also helped to arrange the car and it was done very professionally. The rooms are spacious and clean with excellent views of the ocean. Housekeeping came daily to change towels, make the bed and clean, really good job. The breakfast buffet is good, lots of various options for everyone with amazing variety. The Bad👎🏼: The air-conditioning did not work. Had to open the balcony to keep cool and have some ventilation. I can only imagine how much worse it would be in peak summer heat. Water temperature in the shower is not consistent, goes from boiling hot to cold every few seconds. The gym is in pretty terrible shape. The machines arent maintained and there are no free weights. The pool was advertised as heated, it wasn't. The jacuzzi was cold too. Definitely not enjoyable. The dinner was a huge disappointment almost every night. By the end of the trip I found myself not enjoying my meals at all, the seafood, beef/meat always had a smell that made it inedible, I had to make do with just salads. Drinking water is not free as it is at breakfast and the paper slip system is just really annoying. Lastly and the worst part of my stay, I was given a room on the 14th floor, which is right under the dining area. Every morning from 6am onwards and every evening till past 10pm, the noise is unbearable with the dragging of chairs and tables above, this made me want to pull my hair out every morning. There is zero regard for peace and quiet if you end up on the 14th floor. Overall, I would not call this a 5 star hotel, standard just isn't there in terms of dining and facilities that a 5 start should perform at. I've stayed at plenty 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world and this just isn't on that level. However, the staff really works hard to give a positive vibe and fun energy. Would I stay here again, probably not unless there is a massive upgrade to the entire system.

We had a fantastic week staying at this hotel. Having read some of the previous reviews we were unsure of what to expect but we were not disappointed at all. It’s just an incredible place to be. Looking out over the cliffs onto the sea and listening to the waves crashing against the cliffs is just mesmerising. But what really made the place special for us was the staff. Every single staff member we met were so friendly and professional. The team who clean the rooms do such a great job and the restaurant staff were so good and always happy to interact with our kids. I’d highly recommend this place for all kinds of visits whether is friends, couples or families. Thanks for a great week to the team there.

Overall, everything went amazingly. Extra points for the staff who provide you with a warm welcome from the very beginning at the front desk. But I also need to mention the amazing team at the restaurant (namely Desire, Angel, and Barbara), who were super kind and also fun to be around. And everything was quite well organized, resupplied, and clean. The cleanliness of the rooms was also outstanding, so major kudos to the cleaning team as well. The surroundings are superb, and both pools are quite good. Rooms quite large and comfortable. If I have to point out something not that amazing is that, some things, for a 5-star hotel, could be better taken care of (some tables on the pool bar were limping and had rust, the dartboard could seriously retire and give space to a new one). And entertainment-wise, it could be improved, compared to other similar hotels, which was quite repetitive, and I missed some live music shows. Still, I really enjoyed my time there.

It calls itself a five star and it probably shouldn't. Having said that, there are many extremely good things to say about this hotel. While the building looks dated, it is well maintained and very clean. The staff are all wonderful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and have incredible ocean views. The breakfasts are diverse and plentiful. The walk into town is pleasant, though too long and steep for people with any mobility issues, I would imagine. The unheated pool was too cold in January and beach access is at a premium in the north of the island. It also seems that the mountains cause cloud cover to roll over most afternoons. Not the hotel's fault! Overall, I would say it lacks the luxuries to call itself a five star hotel, but would nevertheless highly recommend it.
