This hotel was overall pretty good. The rooms were clean, one sink wasnt draining properly and the shower would randomly go cold or very hot. We paid extra for sea view and lets just say the sea wasnt very visible. Rooms have daily cleaning if you wanted it and the staff were very nice and friendly (poolside bar and cleaning staff). Reception staff looked like they didnt want to be there and we werent once greeted with a smile however were helpful in terms of taxi’s. I thought the breakfast was nice with lots of options so i dont understand the fuss in reviews about that. If you want to stay up on your balcony dont bother because they are all close together and we were making minimal noise at 11pm and got shouted by a lady - hotel is filled with old people. The pools are good and 2 jacuzzis. There is also a rooftop pool but thats only for “nudists” which i thought was weird because its very uncommon to want to swim and be naked around strangers. Making it an 18+ normal pool would be much better and more accessible for everyone. Poolside food is not bad at all. Cocktails and Smoothies are very nice. It is a bit of a walk to the town (especially on the way back - extreme uphill). Overall not bad but could do with some improvement
We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. We paid extra for a pool view, which I would recommend as it gave us a great view of Mount Teide from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the cleaners did a good job. The gardens and pool area are well kept and immaculate. As it was not too busy at this time of year, we had no problem choosing sun beds. The was some traffic noise from the road which you notice near the pool. The reception desk staff were helpful and the restaurant staff were friendly. The chefs prepared separate dinners, of my daughter's choice (requested a night in advance), to cater for her food allergies; this was a great help in ensuring that she was safe eating there. I do not know how anyone can complain about the choice of foods at breakfast or dinner; we were impressed with the variety and quality. Breakfast was always delicious with the chefs cooking hot foods in the restaurant to serve straight to guests, also a great pastry selection, plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurt. The evening entertainment could be improved- it was a bit dull. We usually enjoyed a quiet drink in the lounge after dinner and the bar service was good. The hotel is located on a hill and we didn't mind walking to/from the town as we are active; some people will need to use a taxi to avoid the uphill climb back to the hotel. For us this was a great choice of hotel and we were very happy guests.
Remove a star and it will be more fitting to the standard. + Staff is very friendly. Rooms are big Pool area is nice Breakfast is nice Parking (but limited) Everything is in a walking distance.(Bring good shoes) Lots of sitting areas. Pool view is good(be sure you end up on the main side) Pool area is enclosed from public view. Nice view of Teide. - The rooms needs an update. You can hear everything in your room. You will most likely get a neighbour that smokes. The beds needs to be burnt at the stake 😛. Asked the reception four times for a softer mattress or top mattress, and they wrote it down four times. Your chiropractor will be rich. Tv didn't work. That they managed to do something about. There's a fee of 10 euros for the "hotel gym"(private) 90% are German pensioners. The drinks in the bar tastes like drinkmix and water. The coffee tastes like instant coffee. The pizza tastes like frozen-pizza, but are ok if you are hungry. Heavy traffic right outside the pool area.
Hotel Puerto Palace is an excellent hotel, we spent a week over Christmas which was very festive. The staff were very helpful, the accommodation and restaurant were brilliant. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a quiet area. There is a bus provided to take you to the bus station then carries on the the commercial centre, we found this very useful. The only downside was that it was cold inside which could not be compensated by the air conditioning. All in all it's a lovely hotel. Thank you for our stay.
The food is fantastic. The rooms are a little older but we'll maintained. If your a shopper seeking sun its the spot. The hotel provides a shuttle service and town center is not far. Happy hour is a must. The pools and jacuzzi are clean and well maintained. For those of you who cannot wait to be naked in the sun they have a area set aside just for you! Did I mention the food!!
