  Please be aware before booking a room here of the really MISLEADING way how this apartment is advertised on booking.com and HIDDEN COSTS!!! I booked a room due to the good overall rating on booking.com, the cheap price and the central position -- but mainly, because late check-in was possible. I even contacted the host after booking and asked if it was fine to check-in only at 23:00, they didn't mention any extra costs. Only in the booking confirmation well hidden in the very end of the email, there was a notification about the some SIGNIFICANT EXTRA COST, exceeding even the original price of the room itself: "Supplement for check-in after 21:00: - From 21:00 to 22:00: EUR 10 - From 22:00 to 23:00: EUR 20 - From 23:00 to 00:00: EUR 30 - From 00:00 to 02:00: EUR 50 You must leave a deposit of € 50 upon arrival in cash and it will be returned upon check-out, if everything is correct." I can only suspect that there might also be a problem to get the deposit back at check-out since you have to pay in cash. Actually, I became only aware of this 2 days prior since the host notified me of the extra cost after the free cancellation was not possible anymore (which kind of fits the pattern). I contacted the host and asked about this practice and they were completely unfriendly. Then I read some of the bad reviews on booking.com and everything made sense: Cheap, madeshift rooms constructed within a bigger room with thin walls to maximize profit. Taking another look at the images confirmed my bad impression and I decided to cancel the reservation -- taking into account that the ENTIRE AMOUNT OF THE BOOKING WOULD BE KEPT AS A CANCELLATION FEE! Of course, now I also cannot leave a review on booking.com, but at least I get to enjoy my vacation staying with honest people.

  Do not recommend - opinions on Booking are forced. The owner was very demanding. He was writing on WhatsApp constantly, with questions about what time we'll arrive/leave, and with propositions of 'promotional price' for booking the next night (even, we didn't need one). The room (double room) was OK, but in the room next door was a gap between walls and ceiling, so we could hear everything that was happening in the room. In the 'hostel' were a lot of rules, like: 'do not shower longer than 7 minutes 'do not use hairdryer longer than 15 minutes' 'if soaping turn off the water' 'shower available 7-23' 'common area available 7-23' (so no eating and using kitchen) 'no cooking' 'no warming up (smelly) food in the microwave' In the common areas the owner has cameras installed, so he can see what people are doing. It is obligatory to pay 50€ deposit during chek-in, so if the guest breaks any rule, the owner may not return the deposit. He is also going around the 'hostel' and admonishing everyone, for example, if you're talking in the common area and it's too loud for him. His reviews on Booking.com are forced - he asked us to write him a good opinion when we asked him to store our luggage for half a day (we wanted to pay, but he wanted the opinion, but later when we asked to store luggage longer (for the night), he asked for an opinion and money). I also heard that before returning the deposit he is 'asking' guests to leave a good opinion. The whole experience was exhausting and it wasn't worth it.

  SCAM! ATTENTION! If you book with booking you will receive a message after paying, with the conditions and when contacting the owner, very rude. It's apparently not allowed to be older than 50 years old, very discriminating and not legal behavior. When kindly asking to return at least the amount paid for 4 (!!) nights the owner hangs up and blocked the number. Booking is not helping either and states that owner is in charge. In the end also canceled the booking so that neither it is possible to write a review on booking. For sure the reviews on Booking are fake. Please be super careful here!!

  My partner stayed there recently and found the place small, dirty and with a weird and unsettling owner who constantly messaged her! They have a policy of no over 50s which is very unusual and again weird. He also gave a smaller room than booked. Please avoid this place unless desperate and the reviews on booking.com must be false and not truthful. Booking.com should remove this place from there site as it’s a scam and uneasy place to stay. Avoid.

  This is honestly the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. There is literally no daylight, no fresh air in the whole hostel! The whole place is stuffy as a cave. The rooms are as large as prison cells and the owner is as flexible as a prison guard. There is a rule for every single light switch and water tap. In order to help you to stick to the rules the whole thing is under video surveillance and 50€ bail in cash is required. Enjoy your stay!
